1964 South American Tour, “Virtual 40th Anniversary Reunion”
On this date, March 28th, 1964, we were traveling from Bogota, Columbia to Sao Paulo, Brazil via Lima, Peru and Rio de J (Varig flt 811, Convair 990A).
This site was created to commemorate the 40th year since our adventure in South America. We had a wonderful 25th reunion in person and a less happy 30th one, due to Maestro Goodman’s illness and eventual passing.
From January 31st to June 4th, the “where we were” line above will track our progress from day to day on that specific date. The rest of the year, it will show a random day’s activity.
This site is no longer being maintained, and the former Tour email address "thetour" is no longer active. I'm leaving the pages in place for "historical reference," but please be aware that any personal information from 2004 may also no longer be correct. I apologize for any inconvenience, but will still of course be happy to hear from old Tour friends at tom (at) tomjewett (dot) com.

P.S., 1/31/2014: 50 years now. Amazing.
